There’s no bigger honor for an NBA player than to represent his country in the Olympics.

That’s particularly true for Americans, as there’s a huge pool of talent to choose from.

That’s why even though he barely played at all, Tyrese Haliburton was still a good sport.

Following his team’s win in the gold medal game vs. France, the Indiana Pacers star shared a hilarious selfie with the medal, stating that this was how someone felt when he didn’t do anything in the group project and still got an A.

That pretty much sums up his participation.

Steve Kerr only had him on the floor in three games, and he totaled just 26 minutes.

Even so, this was an invaluable experience for him.

He got to spend the whole summer working out with not only some of the best players in today’s game but also some of the absolute greatest players of all time.

Also, iron sharpens iron, and all players were key to this accomplishment, even with their presence during practice.

Some might argue that having him spend the summer and time away from his family to play less than 30 minutes is disrespectful, but he has to earn his stripes in the league

Haliburton is a rising star, and perhaps other players like Jalen Brunson would’ve been better suited to play more minutes.

But if he soaked all this knowledge in, he could be a huge problem for other teams next season and for years to come.

It’s all for the greater good, and props to Haliburton for being a good teammate and not pouting about his lack of playing time.
