The Indiana Pacers were one of the most surprising teams in this year’s NBA playoffs.

While many knew they were a young team, they weren’t given much of a chance to go on a deep postseason run.

However, they beat the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round and took down a red-hot New York Knicks team in the second round.

Despite losing to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, this team’s outlook is optimistic.

They have several bright young players who showcased their skills throughout the postseason, an indication of what they can do in the next few years.

Tyrese Haliburton emerged as the team’s star player during the year, making the team better through his scoring abilities and elite ball distribution.

He was expected to help make the Boston series a bit closer, but with his injury in Game 2, it was tough for him to do so.

Haliburton talked about this in a recent press conference shared by New York Basketball on Twitter, saying, “What I’ve understood more than anything, is that usually in the playoffs, the healthier team wins.”

The Celtics were mostly healthy up and down their roster, although they have been missing Kristaps Porzingis.

The health of their top players helped propel them to a series sweep over the Pacers, especially with Haliburton sidelined.

There’s no telling what the series might have looked like if Haliburton stayed healthy throughout, but as he mentioned, health is the key to sustained success in the playoffs.

Can Haliburton and the Pacers come back with vengeance next year, hoping to accomplish what they couldn’t this season?
