The Indiana Pacers pulled off a big upset in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The New York Knicks were the better team on paper, but they couldn’t overcome a late string of injuries, and the Pacers got the best of them.
That was just another chapter in one of the most heated rivalries in the Eastern Conference, and it’s safe to say that New York fans don’t care for the Pacers.
Notably, Tyrese Haliburton became a bit of a villain in the Big Apple, as he took a shot at the Knicks by wearing a hoodie that showed Reggie Miller’s infamous choke sign.
With that in mind, Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports asked Haliburton whether he had liked embracing that villain role and ending the Knicks’ postseason run, and he claimed that he absolutely loved it.

The Pacers star stated that it was nice to add another chapter to that rivalry, and it was always nice to see the best players and the best teams competing against each other.
Plenty of fans on social media called him out for wearing the hoodie and talking trash after winning, as real trash-talkers are confident enough to talk trash when they’re down or even when they’re arriving at the arena, not when they’re leaving.
Then again, that should only add more fuel to the fire.
These teams should square off in the playoffs multiple times in the coming years, and if the Knicks are healthy, they will definitely have their sights set on getting back at them after this disappointing end to their promising season.
