The acquisition of Paul George by the Philadelphia 76ers was the biggest move of this offseason and could shake up the Eastern Conference in the months ahead.

George clearly brings a lot to the squad but what is his new teammate Tyrese Maxey most excited for?

Speaking to the press, per Sam DiGiovanni, Maxey said that George “can do a lot of different things” for the Sixers, such as knock down three-pointers, create off of Joel Embiid, and guard.

Maxey added that George brings a “different aspect of the game” to the 76ers.

George fills several voids for the Sixers.

He can shoot well, he can guard, and he can slide into just about any rotation that head coach Nick Nurse tries.

There are many reasons to believe he could be the missing piece that the Sixers needed.

Despite all of that, there are still concerns about George.

For starters, he has a lengthy history of injuries and there is a chance that he will miss a decent amount of time.

As great as he may be, George could leave the Sixers high and dry at certain parts of the season.

This is particularly troubling for Philadelphia because of Joel Embiid’s own troubles with injuries.

But if George can play healthy, there is every reason to believe that he will bring a lot to Philadelphia.

Maxey is clearly eager to get to work with him and see what they can achieve together, which is giving fans a level of anticipation they haven’t felt in years.
