Fans of the Los Angeles Clippers went to bed very happy on Monday night after their team beat the Chicago Bulls, 124-112.
While both Kawhi Leonard and Eric Gordon were solid with 22 points apiece, it was actually Nicolas Batum who scored the most for his team with 24 points.
Those 24 are impressive but the fact that he went 8-of-10 from the three-point line makes them even more incredible.
Following the game, head coach Ty Lue gave Batum the ultimate reward by stating that he will now be the new starting forward through the rest of the regular season.
Andrew Greif reported that news and said that Lue wouldn’t say if Robert Covington will be the backup for Batum.

It sounds like Lue and his coaching staff were very impressed by what Batum did on Monday night and are still making some roster changes right before the playoffs begin.
For the season, Batum is averaging 6.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 43.3% from the field and 40.5% from the three-point line.
This promotion by Lue is a big deal because Batum has only started in 13 games this season.
The team is hoping that Batum will continue to find his shot from all over the court for the last six games of the season.
The team is the fifth-best in the West so their place in the playoffs is all but assured.
Therefore, the squad will focus on tweaking the lineup, working on chemistry and rhythm, and preparing for the punishing playoff schedule.
Batum’s move to the starting rotation is a part of that.
