What will the new season look like for the Utah Jazz?

Will they finally be able to capitalize on their young talent and a core led by Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, and more?

Or will they continue to struggle in the competitive Western Conference and possibly make major trades?

On Wednesday morning, the team announced a new signing: forward Babacar Sanè.

During his two seasons with the G League Ignite, Sanè averaged 9 points and 5.9 rebounds during 21.6 minutes per game.

Jazz fans last saw Sanè play in the Summer League in Las Vegas, where he posted an average of 5.7 points and 3 rebounds per game, although he only played for about 10 minutes per match.

Sanè is joining a Jazz team that has multiple promising stars but a shoddy track record.

Markkanen is at the center of it all, along with Clarkson, John Collins, Collin Sexton, and others.

Meanwhile, rookies like Cody Williams, Isaiah Collier, Kyle Filipowski, and now Sanè will be trying to make an impact too.

The Jazz showed flashes of brilliance last season but ultimately ended up as the 12th team in the West.

It’ll be tough for them to climb much higher than that right away unless they commit to big changes and trades.

They just signed Markkanen to a new deal, proving that they want to invest in him for the long term.

So, which other players could be on the trading block?

Sanè is coming to Utah and preparing to show what he has to contribute, but this is a team that could be transforming a lot in the months ahead.
