The San Antonio Spurs are set up for the long-term as they have Victor Wembanyama to lead the next era of the franchise.

Wembanyama, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, came into the league with big expectations after a successful overseas career and he somehow surpassed them all his rookie year.

After a relatively quiet start to the 2023-24 NBA season, Wembanyama eventually grew more comfortable at the professional level and went on a roll from that point forward.

At just 20 years old, the sky is the limit for Wembanyama who can simply do things other players only dream of because of his mix of size, length, skill and basketball IQ.

While San Antonio is in its offseason, Wembanyama is still playing basketball this summer as he is a key member of the French national team during the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

In France’s first pool play game against Brazil, Wembanyama threw down a dunk that had fans talking via NBA.

In the short clip, Wembanyama receives the ball on the block and quickly spins for the easy dunk at the rim over a Brazilian defender.

It looks like a routine play for the young star who covered so much ground in a few steps but it speaks to his potential on the offensive end.

France is considered a favorite to take home a medal in this year’s tournament, and it’s largely because of what Wembanyama can do on both ends of the floor.

It will be interesting to see if the phenom can take the next leap in his game this Olympics.
