Victor Wembanyama ran away with the Rookie of the Year award in his first season with the San Antonio Spurs, and the way he improved throughout the season spoke volumes for what kind of player he projects to be in the future.
His work didn’t end with the season, as he is now going even harder in the offseason to get ready for the Olympics, and his recent training camp video that went viral is evidence of that.
A video came out from Team France’s training camp that showed Wemby looking completely unstoppable, as we saw him draining threes both off the catch and via the stepback, throwing down lobs with ease, and looking like he has already added a bit of muscle to his slender frame.

With the Olympics in Paris, France this year, there is a lot of pressure on Team France to show up and represent as the hosts of this event.
Wembanyama had a dominant rookie campaign that saw him post 21.4 points per game, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and a league-leading 3.6 blocks per game on just 29.7 minutes a night.
He got better as the season went on and averaged a ridiculous 23.5/12/5.3 with 4.5 blocks per game after the All-Star break, and if he has already improved since then, France is poised to make plenty of noise in the Olympics.
Wemby will be joined on the team by fellow NBA players Rudy Gobert, Nicolas Batum, Evan Fournier, Bilal Coulibaly, and Frank Ntilikina.
The United States better not take this tournament lightly, because Wemby is ready to do damage.
