The Boston Celtics have been without Kristaps Porzingis for the last few games because of a calf injury, but the Latvian big man is set to make his return on Friday night.

As a way to get fans excited and ready to celebrate, NBC Sports Boston showcased a video of Porzingis at Friday’s shootaround on Twitter.

Porzingis appeared in good shape, moved quickly, and seemed ready to help his team again.

So far this season, Porzingis has been a very helpful asset for the Celtics, averaging 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.7 blocks during his 15 games.

Sadly, a low-grade strain in his left calf has kept him sidelined for the last four games.

However, the Celtics looked good even without him, winning three of those four games despite the loss of Porzingis.

Next up for the Celtics are the New York Knicks, who they face on Friday before they play the Cleveland Cavaliers twice.

Certain fans were very nervous when Porzingis suffered his injury because he has a history of being taken out for an extended amount of time.

There was concern that this could be the start of a troubling trend.

But it was just a short absence for Porzginis and now he is looking as good as new again.

Although the team didn’t want to lose Porzingis, this brief injury didn’t end up being too bad for Porzingis and the Celtics.

They were able to win without him and he was able to bounce back quickly.

Now the Celtics will get back to work and try to hold onto their spot at the top of the Eastern Conference standings.

They are hoping they don’t lose Porzingis again for a very long time.
