Randy Arozarena and Adolis Garcia have been friends for a long time.
Both came up to the Major Leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals before eventually finding themselves with the Tampa Bay Rays and Texas Rangers, respectively.
But after not receiving much playing time in St. Louis, the two took off with the Rays and Rangers.
Arozarena quickly became a postseason hero and a perennial All-Star, while Garcia provided a major spark in the Rangers lineup.
Last night, the two MLB stars got a chance to face off against one another in the Home Run Derby.
On Twitter, the baseball podcast “Talkin’ Baseball” posted a video of the two former teammates reuniting before their matchup.

Arozarena and Garcia have known each other for years, and their bond traces all the way back to their days with the Cardinals.
The two are so close that Arozarena made Garcia the godfather of his daughter.
The two postured for a brief moment, standing across from one another with their arms crossed and their caps backwards.
But just a few seconds later, they shook hands and embraced as old friends.
They then squared off against one another in the first round of the derby, matching up as the No. 4 and 5 seeds.
Arozarena ultimately emerged victorious over his friend and former Cardinals teammate, and made it all the way to the final round.
But that didn’t sour the reunion between these two MLB stars and close friends at T-Mobile Park.
Both are in the starting lineup for the American League All-Stars.
