The Denver Nuggets headed into Monday’s Game 5 against the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals with the chance to finish off Jimmy Butler and company and, as a result, win the franchise’s first title.
Although the Heat put up a fight in Game 5, the Nuggets once again proved to be too much to handle for Erik Spoelstra’s squad, and Nikola Jokic and his teammates were able to lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy on their home floor of Ball Arena in Denver.
After officially winning the Finals in five games, chaos ensued in Denver, with the team enjoying every minute of being crowned champions for the first time in the team’s history.
One player who took his celebrating to another level was veteran forward, Aaron Gordon.
The 27-year-old showed he was a man of the people as he took to the streets of Denver to party with Nuggets fans while still wearing his game shorts and not wearing a shirt via Tedd Buddwell’s Twitter account.

It was a special night, to say the least, for Gordon, who spent most of his NBA career on a losing squad with the Orlando Magic.
Gordon has only just gotten a taste of what it’s like to be on a winning basketball team in the league after the Nuggets acquired him in a trade with the Magic in 2021.
Since joining the Nuggets, Gordon has flourished in his role as one of the better defenders on the team, which was put on display during these NBA playoffs, as he was tasked with guarding Karl-Anthony Towns, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Jimmy Butler.
