The Los Angeles Lakers have trusted Anthony Davis to carry LeBron James’ torch for years now.
That hasn’t happened yet, mostly because he’s been hurt quite often.
Multiple fans and some of his colleagues — including Magic Johnson — have often questioned Davis’ conditioning and work ethic, especially in the summer, leading to think that his preparation might be one of the main reasons behind his never-ending injury woes.
That’s why some among Laker Nation will be thrilled to watch him boxing in the offseason, looking as healthy as ever, and showcasing his explosiveness and quick first step.

Of course, some used the footage to mock him and predict he’s going to miss some time after recording that video, but Davis looks like he’s in the best shape of his career.
Davis’ résumé is one of the most accomplished of all time, granted that he’s won at every major level.
His impact as a two-way player has never been put into question, but his inconsistency, health, and character have often exasperated Lakers fans since he arrived.
Still, he’s young and should be a part of the team for years to come, so there’s still a chance he takes over and becomes the Batman to LeBron James’ Robin, and not vice versa, as it’s been for the better part of his tenure in Southern California.
Davis is the X-Factor behind the Lakers’ title chances, and rightfully so, as no team should put all their championship stock in a soon-to-be 39-year-old entering his 21st season in the league.
