After being eliminated by the eventual NBA champion Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs, the Phoenix Suns have been hard at work trying to figure out how to compete for a title in the coming years.
The team first fired head coach Monty Williams, which sent shockwaves throughout the league, and then hired former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel.
With Vogel in the fold, the team made yet another bold move by pulling off another blockbuster trade to acquire veteran guard Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards.
Although the team will miss Chris Paul, as he has been vital to the team’s success over the last few years, the team has upgraded with three of the league’s best scorers, all on the same team.
After spending his entire NBA career with the Wizards, Beal got a look at his new Suns jersey and couldn’t keep from smiling from ear to ear via ClutchPoints.

With Beal happy to finally have a chance to win regularly in the NBA, the real question moving forward is whether this new superteam can live up to the hype and impose its will on the rest of the league next season.
There’s no question this team is going to put up points with Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker leading the way, but defense will be a concern along with depth, as the team will have to fill out its roster with few funds due to how much the Big 3 in Phoenix is making.
Ultimately, the Suns got better, and that was the team’s intention, but it will be interesting to see how things pan out in Phoenix next season.
