For the New York Jets, the 2023 season might represent their best opportunity to capture a Super Bowl championship as the team is loaded with young talent and a new star quarterback in Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets are being touted as one of the most exciting teams to watch this upcoming year and for good reason because on paper they’ve got the pieces to compete with just about anyone in the NFL.

Aside from Rodgers, New York’s got a budding young star tandem of Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall that look like long-term fixtures in the offense.

However, the Jets also have quality veterans like Randall Cobb, Allan Lazard, and Dalvin Cook behind them to give the team some much-needed experience and wisdom.

While the weapons look great, New York did unfortunately lose Corey Davis who recently announced he was stepping away from football.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh broke the news to the rest of the roster and emphasized that he and the organization still support Davis via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

“Let him know we still love him,” Saleh said.

The clip was shown on the recent episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” which has been exploring New York’s training camp and preseason.

Saleh encouraged the players to reach out to Davis but he also mentions that the wideout could still come back and play in the league in the future.

With Davis no longer on the roster, the Jets may need to go looking for another receiver to bolster their room and it’ll be interesting to see what direction they go in.
