The New England Patriots were a team looking to make a move at running back in free agency.
They lost running back Damien Harris to the Buffalo Bills, so they needed someone to come in and back-up Rhamondre Stevenson.
One player who has been waiting for his opportunity to find a new home is former Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
He spent all offseason waiting for the right fit and it appears he found it on the Patriots.
Elliott signed a one-year deal to become a member of the Pats earlier in the week.
He is already making his presence felt in practice.
According to PFF, Elliott is already taking carries in joint practices and he looks good doing so.

Elliott has spent all seven of his NFL seasons as a member of the Cowboys.
He rushed for 1,000+ yards in four of those years and led the NFL in rushing on two separate occasions.
But, his drop in production over each season led to the Cowboys releasing him earlier in the offseason.
Elliott has seen his yards per game decrease every year he has been in the league.
Yet, he continues to do all the little things that can help a team win.
He is elite in short yardage and around the goal line, also he is a good pass protector.
It should not be a surprise if Elliott can have immense success with a smaller role in New England.
Giving him fewer carries per game can help keep him fresh for the entire season.
Elliott may have to recreate his game this year, but he is capable of another successful season.
