The Golden State Warriors suffered a big scare when they lost Draymond Green to an ankle injury.

Green is obviously a pivotal part of their project, and not having him on the court changes everything they’re able to do, both offensively and defensively.

Fortunately for them, it seems like he’s going to be back on the court in no time, as he was spotted getting some shots up while rehabbing in Los Angeles, and he’s going to be reevaluated on Monday (via C.J. Holmes).

It originally seemed like Green was going to miss an extended period of time with that ankle sprain.

Now, there’s still some hope that he’s going to be available for the final preseason game, although there’s high optimism that he’ll definitely be available for opening night.

The Warriors have rolled with Chris Paul in the starting lineup in Green’s absence, but that might not be the case once they’re all at full strength.

Coach Steve Kerr could choose to keep Paul in the starting five and move Kevon Looney to the second unit, although perhaps it would make more sense to have the veteran point guard getting reps with the backups.

Whatever the case, Kerr made it clear that the lineups are likely to be fluid because he feels like he has ‘six starters’ on his team right now.

The Warriors are thirsty for revenge and will have a big chip on their shoulders next season, and they’ll need their vocal leader on the court to keep them grounded.
