The New York Knicks and their fan base received a little bit of a present in regard to the health of their All-Star point guard in Jalen Brunson.

After he broke his hand in the conference semi-finals against the Indiana Pacers, which ended his season, he was scheduled to have surgery on it five weeks ago.

He was also told that he would be re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks after the surgery.

Recently, the former Villanova guard posted a video on Instagram of him shooting shots at practice.

For context, it was his left hand that he broke.

This news comes just as the Knicks are loading up their roster.

They re-signed All-NBA defender and former champion OG Anunoby to a massive five-year deal worth $212.5 million.

Additionally, they traded for Brunson’s former college teammate and another All-NBA defender in Mikal Bridges.

These moves were made to help bring this team along enough to contend with the Boston Celtics, who are coming off of winning their league-leading 18th title.

With other key pieces in the fold for next season, including big man Mitchell Robinson and All-Star forward Julius Randle, this team could be on the verge of some special seasons.

They are coming off of their first 50-win season since the 2012-13 season.

Also, Tom Thibodeau’s squad made the conference semi-finals for the second consecutive year.

There is no denying that this team is on the rise.

With the Nova boys all together again in Brunson, Bridges, Hart and DiVincenzo, there is even more championship DNA in the Big Apple.
