The Boston Celtics were unable to land superstar guard Damian Lillard in a trade this summer, even though the team was reportedly interested in doing so.
Instead, the Milwaukee Bucks swooped in and acquired the future Hall of Famer in a three-team deal with the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers.
Despite missing out on Lillard, the Celtics did the next best thing by getting their hands on the second-best player in that deal that was flipped shortly after the blockbuster deal was, as Boston was able to bring in defensive-minded guard Jrue Holiday.
With the addition of Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis this past summer, the Celtics were able to put together a roster that many believe could be the best in the league and the favorite to win it all during the 2023-24 campaign.
Along with re-signing with the team and securing his long-term future in Boston, Jaylen Brown isn’t content with where his skills are at, as he was seen working on his left hand via Celtics writer Taylor Snow and NBA Central.

Even though Brown is considered one of the league’s elite players, he has gotten a lot of grief for his ball-handling skills or lack thereof over the last few years, and justifiably so.
Brown working on his left hand and making that a priority ahead of the season is a good sign, as he definitely needs to polish that aspect of his game moving forward if the team is going to count on him for the foreseeable future.
