The preseason in the NFL is now underway, and that means that joint practices are taking place.

Joint practices tend to be very chippy and fiery because players are trying to prove themselves and their competitive spirit.

In New Jersey, joint practices between the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions are taking place and it is fair to say that they haven’t gotten off to the best start.

According to insider Ari Meirov, a fight recently broke out between the two teams after one particular play.

It is not a surprise that these two teams, who are on opposite sides of the spectrum, get into a scuffle.

The Detroit Lions are trying to continue their winning ways this season after winning 12 games and nearly making the Super Bowl a season ago.

The players have followed the lead of their head coach in Dan Campbell, who preaches grit and toughness all the time.

On the other side, the Giants are one of the worst teams in the league and are just trying to get back to their winning ways.

They have had just one winning season in the last seven seasons.

Both teams clearly have the competitive juices flowing and are already a little tired of each other after just one day of practice.

In a lot of ways, joint practices are better for teams than preseason games because the environment is super competitive and everyone plays, but that doesn’t mean that fights aren’t always a possibility.

Time will tell to see if any more fights break out as the week goes on.
