Kevin Durant’s reputation among NBA fans is a complicated subject.
For whatever reason, some of his critics continuously move the goalpost further away from him when discussing his accomplishments, and they usually don’t even count the two rings he won.
That doesn’t make any sense, but not even his biggest critic can have a straight face and deny that he’s one of the best players in league history.
That’s why, wherever he goes, people greet him with nothing but respect and admiration, even if they later take to social media to talk smack about him.
That was evident again in his latest trip.
As shown by Overtime on Twitter, the Phoenix Suns star was having a blast with his fans in Sweden, taking shots and pictures and just smiling while everybody embraced him.

Durant has been under some heavy fire and criticism for the fact that he hasn’t been able to get over the hump without Stephen Curry, but it’s not like he got a free ride to two NBA championships; he was the second-best player on the team, or perhaps even the 1B to Curry’s 1A.
Even if that wasn’t the case, we’re talking about a generational scorer here.
Durant has always been madly in love with the game of basketball, and you can tell his passion by the way he approaches his craft and the game.
He won’t be around for much longer, and his critics may finally appreciate him when they don’t get to watch him hoop anymore.
