After beating the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, the Dallas Mavericks advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals to face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Mavericks’ dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving has led the way, while role players like P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford have given them a boost on both ends of the floor.
After losing Game 1 on the road in Oklahoma City, Dallas stormed back to win Game 2 which set up an epic Game 3 between the two teams.
The Thunder looked like they were going to steal back home court, but the Mavericks fought in the second half to hold on and take a 2-1 series lead.
With Doncic clearly hobbled by injuries, Irving took over in the clutch to deliver the Game 3 win to Dallas.
Irving’s a showman on the court and he had Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes in awe via MFFL.

In the video, Irving can be seen going one-on-one against Jalen Williams and manages to create enough space with his dribble to get a tough jumper off that somehow goes in.
As Irving trots back on defense, Mahomes can be seen on his feet cheering on the star guard.
Mahomes knows a thing or two about delivering in clutch moments and Irving’s shown he’s still got it in the playoffs.
With Doncic not 100 percent and unable to get to his spots as easily, Irving has been able to take on the offensive burden which sets them up well to take a commanding 3-1 series lead when Game 4 tips off.
