NFL players dream of wealth and fame, but there’s always been one thing that has stood taller than any of that.
There’s no bigger honor than making it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
That gold jacket means the world, and rightfully so, as it’s the ultimate prize and honor any football player could ever aspire to get.
That’s why even a tough linebacker like Patrick Willis was a little emotional when he got a chance to take a glimpse at his gold jacket.
As shown by 49ers on NBC Sports on Twitter, the San Francisco 49ers legend was all smiles while he was unboxing his gold jacket.

He was clearly in awe, adding that he was at a loss of words for that honor.
Willis will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next month, and it was an obvious decision after the career he had.
He logged 950 tackles, 60 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, 41 quarterback hits, 53 passes defensed, 16 forced fumbles, eight interceptions, and two touchdowns.
On top of that, he had at least 100 tackles in six of his eight years in the league, leading the NFL in tackles twice, even once as a rookie.
Despite not being able to win a Super Bowl, Willis was instrumental in leading the team to three NFC Championship Games and a Super Bowl.
And while he was forced to cut his career short after multiple injuries, he still managed to make it to the NFL All-Decade Team of the 2010s, as well as the Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. 49ers Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.
