Things are changing on the banks of the Ohio River.
The Cincinnati Reds, who were cellar dwellers in the NL Central a season ago after losing 100 games, have completely flipped the script and taken over the top spot in the division.
In fact, they now have won 11 games in a row, which is their longest streak since 1957, when they won 12 straight.
A win over the Atlanta Braves on Friday would tie that mark.
But unlike last season, Reds fans are showing up to the ballpark in full force.
After the Reds completed a comeback to secure a 5-3 win over the Colorado Rockies, a fan caught a video of a packed Great American Ballpark with fans chanting “Let’s go Reds.”

It’s been a while since fans have been able to chant “Let’s go Reds.”
But now, the team has come out of nowhere to take control of first place in the NL Central.
The Reds have yet to win an NL Central title since 2012.
They last reached the postseason in 2020.
But this season is different.
Reds fans have a good reason to be excited about the future of the team..
Stars like Hunter Greene, Jonathan India, Elly De La Cruz, Spencer Steer, Alexis Diaz, and Andrew Abbott have helped reverse the fortunes of the franchise after a disastrous 2022 season.
Not much was expected out of the Reds this season, but with an 11-game winning streak, they have found themselves in uncharted territory and are prepared to make some noise at the trade deadline.
