The San Antonio Spurs seemingly landed a jackpot with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
They selected a generational talent in Victor Wembanyama with the pick.
So far, Wembanyama has received nothing but praise from NBA fans all around the globe following his breathtaking performances in the preseason.
However, Wembanyama started off his official NBA journey with a loss against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in San Antonio’s first game of the regular season.
Now, ahead of the Spurs’ second game of the season against the Houston Rockets, a video via ClutchPoints on Twitter showed Spurs legend Manu Ginobili passing on his wisdom to Wembanyama.

Ginobili spent all 16 seasons of his NBA career with the Spurs, averaging 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
Ginobili was also a crucial part of the Spurs’ four NBA championship-winning teams, and he made the Basketball Hall of Fame for his achievements.
Keeping that in mind, Wembanyama taking advice from Ginobili is nothing but good news for Spurs fans.
In his debut, Wembanyama played 23 minutes and had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists on 6-9 shooting in the Spurs 126-119 defeat.
While it was an overall decent game from Wembanyama, fans will expect him to take more shots in the future.
After all, the 2023 No. 1 overall pick took just nine shots in the entire game while making six of them.
In the above video, Ginobili seemingly shared with Wembanyama about using his footwork to get out of traffic in the mid-range.
Wembanyama listened and applied the tips to his game as he nailed a mid-range shot in the video.
