The Washington Wizards have been quite impressive during the NBA preseason and that’s partly because of Jordan Poole.
Poole has averaged 23.3 points per game during his three preseason games with the team.
You would think everyone on the roster would be happy about that.
But a video shared on Twitter showed Poole and teammate Deni Avdija seemingly have some tough words on the bench.
Their back-and-forth came shortly after Avdija was visibly frustrated on the court when he didn’t receive the ball from Poole.

In the grand scheme of things, this didn’t look like a very serious blow-up between the two players.
This could definitely be the sort of thing they both put behind them when the game is over.
However, it’s a little concerning, especially since it took place so early in the year.
Avdija was upset because he wanted the ball as Poole set up for another three-pointer.
Poole’s shot was good and that was obviously great for the team because it grew their lead even more.
But Avdija obviously felt that Poole was playing selfish ball and he wasn’t happy about it.
During the game, Poole posted an impressive 41 points in just three quarters.
He was very comfortable taking just about every shot he could, even if other players weren’t.
Avdija wasn’t having a great night and was probably frustrated with himself so this could be about more than Poole not passing the ball.
But whatever caused this moment, it should be addressed.
The Wizards might have a good thing going this season but that could be compromised by disharmony among teammates.
