It’s been a while since the New York Knicks were this good.
Even without Julius Randle, Tom Thibodeau’s team was able to finish the campaign strong, and trading for OG Anunoby may have been one of the biggest moves they’ve made in quite a while.
Jalen Brunson is playing like a superstar, and fellow Villanova teammates Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo have been perfect complements by his side.
Also, getting Mitchell Robinson back has allowed Isaiah Hartenstein to shift back to the second unit and provide some big energy off the bench.
That’s why Knicks fans are really feeling themselves right now and why they’re asking for the Boston Celtics to come to town (via ESPN Radio).

Following their win in Game 1 over the Philadelphia 76ers, Knicks fans were spotted chanting, “We want Boston.”
Of course, on paper, they should like their chances against anybody, and they’re fresh off securing the No. 2 seed.
Nonetheless, they haven’t exactly found much success against Boston this season, losing four of five games to the Celtics.
Some of those losses weren’t even that close, although they did get the best of them the last time they squared off.
The Celtics finished the season with the best record in the league, and they’re firmly expected to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Knicks would have to win two series before getting the nod against Joe Mazzulla’s team, and if that happens, it wouldn’t be shocking to see them go the distance to seven games.
