Wanda Durant has been closely following her son’s career since he entered the league and has supported him at every twist and turn.
She has faith in everything Kevin does and knows he’s an NBA legend.
Speaking with Duane Rankin, via Legion Hoops, Wanda said she believes her son and Steph Curry could have continued to do great things if they remained together on the Golden State Warriors.
“We would’ve had 20 rings by now. And it was about 10 years ago. That’s how cold they were,” Durant said.

Obviously, she is embellishing a little bit but she has a point.
If Durant and Curry remained together at Golden State, they could have likely won at least a few more championships.
They only played together for three seasons but they were wildly successful ones, resulting in two championships and two Finals MVPs for Durant.
Their third, and last, Finals run in 2019 was marked by Durant’s serious injury, pulling him to the sidelines when the Warriors needed him most.
If he remained healthy, they may have taken down the Toronto Raptors and succeeded in their quest for a three-peat.
Instead, Durant moved to the Brooklyn Nets that summer and then the Phoenix Suns a few years after.
He has publicly stated that he didn’t quite fit in with the already-established brotherhood of the Warriors and was the odd man out.
He still cares deeply for his former Warriors teammates but felt it was time to move on.
Fans will always wonder what would have happened had Durant remained a Warrior.
It’ll remain one of the biggest NBA “what ifs” for the rest of time.
