The Tennessee Titans just unveiled their new throwback uniforms.

The franchise will honor its past by paying homage to the defunct Houston Oilers, featuring their classic and beautiful blue threads in some games next season.

Needless to say, it didn’t take long before the uniforms caught the eye of an Oilers legend, with former QB Warren Moon taking to Twitter to rave about the “best looking outfit in football” and talking about how he couldn’t wait to see them back on the field again.

Moon closed his message by showing his support for the Titans, which rubbed some Houston Texans fans the wrong way.

Can’t wait to see our old uniforms on the field again!

Of course, Moon spent his career playing in Houston, not Nashville, even if the Oilers later became the Titans, so one can understand where the controversy is coming from.

Moon is supporting his former team, as the Texans have nothing to do with the Oilers besides the city they play in.

Whatever the case, what no one can deny is that those throwback threads are simply beautiful, and they should be a commercial success in both Houston and Tennessee.

It’s always hard to watch a team relocate and leave its fanbase on an island.

It’s similar to what happened to the Seattle SuperSonics and Oklahoma City Thunder or Vancouver and Memphis Grizzlies, as some fans will continue to root for the team somewhere else, while others will only root for a hometown team.
