When last season ended without a playoff appearance, it was very clear that the Golden State Warriors were going to make changes in the summer.

They haven’t done anything yet but according to a new report from Logan Murdock, via NBACentral, they are “aggressively shopping” a couple of key players.

Murdock said that the Warriors are trying to get rid of both Chris Paul and Andrew Wiggins.

None of this is surprising but it remains to be seen how easily they can ship these two away.

As noted by Murdock, Wiggins “struggled to find a consistent role last season” and most people assumed he would likely leave the Warriors.

Paul’s short time with the Warriors didn’t work out as planned either.

He was envisioned as an expert point guard who could take some of the pressure off Stephen Curry, inspire younger players, and also put up a lot of points either as a starter or off the bench.

In the end, injuries slowed him down and the team wasn’t enhanced much by his presence.

Additionally, his large contract makes him a key asset for the Warriors in any sort of trade.

These are definitely a couple of large names on the roster so the thought of trading them is big and shows how dedicated they are to getting better next season.

Paul and Wiggins probably won’t be the only Golden State stars packing their bags.

As everyone knows, Klay Thompson may have played his last game in the Bay Area and there are some other players on the team who might leave.

This could be a transformative summer for the Warriors.
