The Golden State Warriors had a disappointing 2023-24 season after going 46-36 and finishing with the 10th seed in the Western Conference before losing in the play-in game to the Sacramento Kings.

The Dubs have a lot of work to do this offseason to ensure that the final stages of their core’s prime has every chance to bring home a fifth championship, and reports are indicating the team is showing an early interest in one soon-to-be free agent.

NBC Sports Bay Area reported on Twitter that the Warriors are showing “early interest” in Malik Beasley of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Beasley signed a 1-year, $2.7 million deal with the Bucks prior to last season and he shot 44.3 percent from the field for 11.3 points per game and shot 41.3 percent from 3-point range.

He started a career-high 77 games this season before slipping out of the lineup in the postseason, where he averaged just 8.8 points per game in 21.8 minutes a night as the Bucks lost in the first round to the Indiana Pacers.

Beasley was a crucial perimeter asset alongside Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, and would be a vital member to a Warriors team that is in dire need of more depth around its stars.

Beasley has bounced around in recent years and has plenty of experience playing alongside superstars, as in the last five years he has played with Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and most recently Giannis and Dame.

The Warriors could use another weapon from 3-point range, and it’ll be interesting to see if this reported interest materializes into something real.
