For years, the Golden State Warriors have been known as a team that can often get very hot from behind the three-point line.
On Thursday night, they showed why.
Led by Klay Thompson, the Warriors had 21 three-pointers.
This matched their franchise record for the number of threes made in a playoff game.
To make things even worse for LA, they scored 21 on the Lakers in Game 1 as well.

Thompson led the way with his 8 three-pointers.
However, he wasn’t the only one who was lighting up the scoreboard from downtown.
Stephen Curry and JaMychal Green both had three, while Andrew Wiggins, Donte DiVincenzo, and Moses Moody had two of their own.
Jonathan Kuminga also chipped in with one.
Teams take a risk when they rely on three-pointers so much but the Warriors have repeatedly shown it can be worth it.
They ended up beating the Lakers by 27 points and their 21 three-pointers were a huge part of that.
No matter the size of the other team, it’s very hard to block the Warriors when they start to get hot with their threes.
Thompson was a prime example of that on Thursday, as the Lakers couldn’t stop him and he consistently shot well from beyond the arc.
When they did so well with their three-pointers in Game 1, nearly everyone predicted they wouldn’t be able to do it again.
It’s not often that any team can achieve such a feat two games in a row.
But the Warriors perfected the art of the three many years ago.
If any team can score this many three-pointers in consecutive games, it’s the Warriors.
