Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors has received a lot of attention over the last few seasons, with some people saying he’s one of the most talented young stars in the league.
But is there a chance that Kuminga is actually overvalued?
According to NBC Sports, Bleacher Report ranked Kuminga as the “most overrated” player in the entire league.
This might be very surprising and disappointing news for fans who have been faithfully following the Warriors lately.

In their article, Bleacher Report stated that Kuminga has many upsides but is also disappointing in certain ways.
They noted that his jumper isn’t trustworthy, he doesn’t have a great ability to generate his own shots, and his defense is “all over the place.”
According to the story, Kuminga gets so much attention and praise because he is the best prospect the Warriors have right now.
Because the Warriors are a “glamor franchise” he generates a lot more buzz than he is worthy of, Bleacher Report said.
Warriors followers might push back on this claim because they love what they see from Kuminga.
Last season was a prime example of what he can do for Golden State.
Things didn’t start on the right footing but Kuminga and head coach Steve Kerr were able to figure things out and he ultimately averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists on 52.9% from the field.
He ended up starting in 46 of 74 games and made an impression on fans and the front office.
Golden State sees Kuminga as someone who could lead the team into the future and they aren’t listening to claims of him being overrated.
