The Golden State Warriors need as much help as they can get to repeat as defending NBA champions.
Their defense has taken a massive hit this season, especially on the road.
Their offense continues to be as proficient as per usual, and they have no shortage of sharpshooters to always shoot their way out of any slump.
But they’ve lacked the size, length, and athleticism to match up against some Western Conference foes, especially late into the season.
That’s why they need Andrew Wiggins back on the floor as soon as possible.
The former first overall pick has missed over 20 games while attending to a personal matter.
Wiggins was away from the team, taking care of his ill father while working out daily to be ready to come back when needed.
So, even though he’s now finally back in the Bay Area, coach Steve Kerr recently confirmed that he’s not going to play in any of the team’s final two regular-season games.
“[Andrew Wiggins] is not going to play in these final two games of the regular season. He’ll continue to work and ramp it up pretty quickly.”

Kerr added that Wiggins will ramp things up quickly, so fans can expect to see him back on the floor for the first round of the playoffs.
Wiggins has become an elite defender and rebounder, and he’s a 17+ points per game kind of guy who’d give them another scoring option, especially when the three-point shot isn’t falling.
His presence on the floor will be huge for the reigning champs, so you better not rule them out just yet, even if they fail to clinch a top-5 seed in their conference.
