The Golden State Warriors dynasty appeared to be rusting over when they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 2023 NBA playoffs.
Instead of looking to get younger, they got even older when they traded Jordan Poole, arguably their best young player, for 38-year-old Chris Paul.
It was a curious move, and pundits seem divided on whether it will help Golden State.
Still, the team posted a Paul hype video to its official Twitter account in order to get fans excited about the upcoming season.

Just 13 months ago, the Warriors won their fourth NBA championship in eight seasons, and they did so with a good mix of their old guard and some productive young players.
But they seemed to give up on some of their youth movement over the past several months, as they traded not only Poole but also center James Wiseman, who hadn’t quite panned out.
Paul will now presumably come off the bench for Golden State, something he has never done (he has literally never come off the bench throughout his pro career).
After 18 seasons, his game has been in decline over the last year or two, especially offensively, as his scoring average and shooting efficiency have plunged.
Paul also seems to be an odd fit for a Warriors team that has always loved to run and share the ball, as he has historically controlled the ball for most of the shot clock and preferred to play slowdown basketball.
Do they have one more title run left in them, or could Paul possibly hasten their inevitable decline?
