The NBA Summer League gives young and promising players the chance to impress teams, scouts, and fans.
That is exactly what Daeqwon Plowden has done and it’s paying off.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Plowden has agreed to a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors.
Plowdon has done great work in the Summer League so far, averaging 16.6 points on 54% from the field and 48% from beyond the three-point line.

Plowden probably earned this contract on Sunday night when he scored 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from downtown for the Warriors.
The six-foot-six star has spent his last two years playing in the G League for New Orleans and Orlando’s affiliate teams.
He has been a strong shooter during his G League days and is now earning a spot with the Warriors.
Because he is getting a two-way contract, Plowden might continue to spend some time in the G League but he could also be called up to the big league throughout 2024-25.
This is even more likely because the Warriors are tweaking their roster and trying to get more help from their young players.
They haven’t made many big moves during the offseason so far, instead electing to put more emphasis on up-and-coming stars like Brandin Podziemski, Jonathan Kuminga, and others.
Will Plowden become one of the young upstarts who assists the Warriors in the new season?
Before that can be possible, he needs to keep impressing during the Summer League and prove that the Warriors were correct to sign him to this two-way deal.
