The Golden State Warriors were never the same after Stephen Curry.
He’s established himself as the greatest shooter the game has ever seen, and he even officially entered the conversation as the best point guard of all time.
More than that, his teammate Brandin Podziemski actually has him in higher regard.
Following his majestic performance in the gold medal game, the second-year guard took to Twitter to claim that Curry was the best to ever do it.

Of course, it didn’t take long before he faced some backlash over these comments, as Curry still has a long way to go to sit at Michael Jordan’s table.
Then again, Curry has most definitely cracked the top ten, and he’s either No. 1 or No. 2 on the all-time great point guards list.
Some basketball purists don’t feel that way.
They blame Curry for the three-point revolution, but one should never apologize for being unique or great.
The game had to adapt to Curry and not the other way around, and that’s what legacy and influential players do.
Whether the game is better or worse now is a debate for another time, but one cannot deny the impact of a guy who’s literally forced opposing defenses to guard him at full court.
As for being the best to ever lace them up, it seems like that ship has sailed already, and just a handful of players could join that debate.
Then again, he’s still at the peak of his powers, so one never knows what the future may hold.
