With LeBron James contemplating retirement and knowing that his days in the NBA are coming to an end sooner rather than later, his offspring is about to keep the family name high in the league.

Despite a health scare last season and even though his numbers in high school and college were always far from impressive, Bronny is more than likely to be taken in the NBA Draft.

Also, following a strong performance in the NBA Draft Combine, there’s been an ever-growing interest in the young guard.

Now, a report by NBA insider Marc Stein reveals that Bronny has drawn interest from the Dallas Mavericks, even though they know they might not be able to get him (via NBA Central).

Apparently, the Mavericks would gladly use their No. 58 pick to get Bronny.

Nonetheless, they’re also well aware of the fact that he’s more than likely to be gone before they’re on the clock that late in the second round.

This is one of the most polarizing and weakest classes in NBA Draft history, and that should work in Bronny’s favor ahead of the big day.

But even if scouts aren’t that sold on him by the time the day comes, it seems highly unlikely that they’ll allow him to slip all the way to the second round, especially with the Los Angeles Lakers owning a mid-first-round pick.
