Mike Brown has had a terrific first year as head coach of the Sacramento Kings.
Partly because of his hard work, the Kings are making the playoffs for the first time in nearly two decades.
They are the third seed in the West and hold an impressive 48-34 record.
Brown has improved the team’s roster and changed its culture.
That was made evident during one playful moment earlier this season when Brown jokingly screamed during an interview after hearing his players in the locker room do the same.

Many people would have been overcome with the pressure of turning the team around and the high stakes of such a task.
But Brown has seemed to enjoy every single second of leading this youthful and promising team.
Because of what he has accomplished during this season, there are numerous people who believe he is the frontrunner to be the NBA’s Coach of the Year.
They also think that his Kings might actually have a shot at going far in the playoffs, despite their inexperience.
No matter what happens in the months ahead, it is clear that Brown has been a hugely beneficial asset to the team.
He has achieved what no one else could and has done it all with a smile on his face.
Brown has long been celebrated around the league as one of its most charming and friendly coaches.
After this season, he is also one of the most impressive.
