The New York Yankees are one of a few teams with plenty of talent on their roster that are not performing up to par.

The Yankees are 17-15, but sit in last place in the American League East division.

In the top of the ninth inning on Wednesday, New York trailed the Cleveland Guardians by a score of 3-2.

That was when fans began to vent their frustration towards the team.

With Clay Holmes on the mound and rain falling at Yankee Stadium, fans seemingly turned against manager Aaron Boone.

On the YES broadcast, fans could be heard chanting “Fire Boone” as the Yankees fell behind against the Guardians.

Yankees fans have been frustrated with Boone for some time.

But on Wednesday, it reached a breaking point.

While New York ultimately came back to win the game, fans had simply had enough with the team’s struggles and were hoping for any sort of change.

But the fans could be heard loud and clear as they called for Boone to be fired.

Boone briefly played for the Yankees in 2003 and hit a walk-off home run in Game 7 of the ALCS.

That home run made Boone a hero in New York and was one of the most exciting moments in the history of Major League Baseball.

However, a lot of love appears to be lost now, and Yankees fans made sure that everybody heard them loud and clear as they chanted, hoping that the front office would hear their pleas and ultimately find a new manager.
