Without Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees have fallen into a precarious position.

Though they own a record of 50-44, they are now tied with the Boston Red Sox for the bottom spot in the American League East and are nine games back of first place.

They are just two games back in the Wild Card race, however.

And so, with Judge out, the Yankees have found themselves in the market for some outfield help.

According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the Yanks are “closely monitoring” the market and could be in play for Cody Bellinger of the Chicago Cubs and Randal Grichuk of the Colorado Rockies.

The Yankees are closely monitoring the corner outfield market, and while Cody Bellinger seems like a natural fit, another name that has come up per sources is Randal Grichuk of the Rockies. He’s an impending free agent making a little more than $3M for the rest of the season.

Grichuk is no stranger to the Yankees, having played in the AL East with the Toronto Blue Jays from 2018-21.

The veteran slugger can play all three outfield positions and could provide some power in the Yankees lineup.

Bellinger is also an interesting fit.

With the right field porch in Yankee Stadium being so short, the ballpark itself would be conducive to Bellinger’s power from the left side of the plate.

The Cubs are six games below the .500 mark and could ultimately be sellers come August 1.

Both Bellinger and Grichuk are two potential options for the Yankees as they assess the outfield market with Judge out for an undisclosed period of time.

Feinsand notes that Grichuk is an impending free agent who is making just over $3 million for the remainder of the 2023 season.

Bellinger is in the same situation, as he signed a one-year deal with the Cubs.
