The Los Angeles Lakers earned their first Summer League win on Wednesday night, allowing fans to breathe a sigh of relief after a number of rough games.
While Bronny James may be receiving the most headlines after the victory, it was Colin Castleton who did the most work.
According to Hoop Central, Castleon led the Lakers with 17 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals.
He went 8-of-9 from the field and earned an important and supremely helpful double-double.

Following this game, many Lakers fans are asking the same thing: will there be more of Castleton in the new season?
He didn’t do much during his rookie year, averaging just 1.5 points during 3.7 minutes on the court in only 16 games.
There is no guarantee that Castleton will play more in the 2024-25 season but his performance in Wednesday’s game was definitely noticed by head coach JJ Redick and his staff.
Castleton is a two-way player which means he can help the Lakers on both ends of the court.
He is six-foot-eleven and slim at just 250 pounds with a massive wingspan.
He is the sort of player who could do multiple things for the Lakers if he is given the chance.
Castleton has now recorded a double-double in four consecutive Summer League games which is an extremely impressive accomplishment.
This is what the Summer League is all about: it’s a chance for young players to impress and sometimes surprise.
But it doesn’t always lead to a productive regular season.
As great as Castleton has been, there is still a chance that Lakers fans don’t see him much when the season kicks off.
