Zach Wilson’s NFL career has been a roller coaster to this point.
The New York Jets selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, hoping he could be their answer at quarterback.
However, when early returns weren’t looking positive, the Jets decided to turn elsewhere.
They traded for Aaron Rodgers ahead of the 2023 season, relegating Wilson to a backup role.
He did get some opportunities to start when Rodgers went down with his injury, but he wasn’t able to do enough to stay with the team.
The Jets decided to cut ties with him ahead of the 2024 season, and he’s now a member of the Denver Broncos.
Despite his best efforts, Wilson couldn’t secure the starting job with the Broncos, who recently named Bo Nix their Week 1 starter.
While some players might be upset to not be the starter, Wilson is seemingly taking a different approach.
He recently told reporters about the positive dynamic of the Broncos’ quarterback room, as Cody Roark shared on Twitter.
“We understand the other person’s side of it. We all have each other’s back,” Wilson said.

It seems that, despite the competition for the starting job, all three of the Broncos quarterbacks are looking out for each other.
They all have a common goal in mind, which is to be a starting quarterback in the National Football League.
This positivity and mindset of helping each other grow could be the difference in the development of all three QBs moving forward, whether they stay with the Broncos or join a new team.
