Bronny James’ draft stock has been one of the most confusing NBA Draft topics in years, as no one has any idea where he projects to go and his camp is being vague about which teams he will even workout for.
A new pre-draft report suggests three unexpected teams are showing interest in taking Bronny on draft night, which would be a curveball since everything fans have heard so far has indicated that the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns are the only teams Bronny’s camp is even granting access to.
Bronny’s agent, Rich Paul reportedly told Draft Express that the Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors, and Minnesota Timberwolves have all expressed interest in drafting Bronny, but maintained that Bronny will only likely conduct pre-draft workouts for the Lakers and Suns.

The rumor for months has been that whichever team drafts Bronny has a legitimate chance to land LeBron, but it’s unclear how legitimate that rumor is at this point.
All three of these teams could use some help in the form of another shot creator and combo guard off the bench, but Bronny’s struggles at USC were alarming and it’s still unclear if he is an NBA talent at all, even after his NBA Combine performance blew everyone away.
This has been by far the biggest pre-draft storyline because of how lacking the top of this class is in terms of star power, and it’s a uniquely fascinating situation to follow.
Taking someone in the draft who you couldn’t get a workout with is extremely risky, nevermind the fact that you’d be drafting a guy who scored 4 points per game in college.
