The San Francisco 49ers have been known for their dominant defense over the past several years.
While they have seen dozens of players come and go during this time, their system is set up well, allowing new players and team veterans to thrive each year.
Although the 49ers are known for their defense, they have started to develop one of the best offenses in the league.
Brock Purdy continues to outperform what people thought of him coming into the NFL, making for a surprisingly solid offense.
It certainly helps to have one of the best wide receiver duos in the league.
There has been talk of the 49ers moving on from one of their top receivers, however, which has caused some panic and consternation in the fanbase.
This isn’t the only internal struggle with a skill-position player, as Christian McCaffrey hasn’t been spotted at team OTAs.
Running back coach Bobby Turner was recently asked by reporter Jennifer Leechan about McCaffrey’s absence, providing a short answer to her question.
“That’s the business part, and I’m not getting into that,” Turner said.

McCaffrey has one more year left on his contract that was originally drawn up by the Carolina Panthers.
Like most running backs, McCaffrey is likely looking for more stability over the next few seasons, especially given the volatility of his position.
Running backs tend to get injured more than the average position, and without guaranteed money or a contract on the books, backs tend to feel frustrated with their teams.
Will the 49ers sign McCaffrey to a new deal ahead of the 2024 season?
