The NFL offseason has been relatively quiet for the San Francisco 49ers thus far.

Jimmy Garoppolo left the team for the Las Vegas Raiders, and they’ve lost a few key defensive players, such as Jimmie Ward and Emmanuel Moseley.

A recent report has dictated that several teams have expressed interest in Brandon Aiyuk, per 49ers reporter Nick Wagoner.

#49ers have received interest in Brandon Aiyuk from teams hoping they can trade for him. But Niners intend to keep Aiyuk.

They could find themselves in a situation next offseason where they can’t afford two high end WRs (like OT this year) but those decisions will/can wait.

Despite teams reaching out about Aiyuk, the 49ers are holding on to him, at least for the 2023 season.

Aiyuk was the 25th overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, which has turned out to be an incredible class of receivers.

In his three seasons with the 49ers, Aiyuk has racked up 194 receptions, 2,589 yards, and 19 touchdowns.

He has been an impactful weapon on the 49ers’ offense alongside Deebo Samuel.

However, as Wagoner indicates, the 49ers aren’t likely able to keep Aiyuk past the 2023 season, given their contractual commitments to offensive linemen.

Whether Aiyuk will suit up for a new team in 2024 remains to be seen, but, if Wagoner’s reports are true, he’s not going anywhere for this season.

The 49ers have found themselves in a unique quarterback situation, with two youngsters at the top of the depth chart heading into 2023.

Brock Purdy and Trey Lance started a combined total of nine NFL games.

With the now absence of Garoppolo, it will be up to Purdy and Lance to lead this team, supporting receivers like Aiyuk and Samuel.

The 49ers are often seen as a very well-run organization, which will be tested throughout next season.
