For years, the Green Bay Packers have been the team to beat in the NFC North.
Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers have been the best quarterbacks in the division, and while they only have a couple of Super Bowls to show for that, they’ve been the driving force up north for quite a while now.
So, now that Rodgers is all but gone and ready to suit up for the New York Jets, it seems like it’s been a change of regime in the NFC North.
According to oddsmakers, the Packers now have the worst odds to win the division at +380, followed by the Chicago Bears (+320), Minnesota Vikings (+300), and Detroit Lions (+155).

This seems kind of ironic, but it actually makes perfect sense.
The Lions nearly made the playoffs last season and were one of the most improved teams in the NFL.
The Vikings wanted to save money in the offseason and didn’t get a lot better, and some believe they’ll continue to part ways with their veterans throughout the season.
The Bears spent big bucks and will have several picks to build around Justin Fields, but it might take a while before they’re ready to compete.
As for the Packers, they have a solid coach and some interesting young pieces, but analysts are still somewhat skeptical about Jordan Love in his first full season as a starter.
The Packers have only finished at the bottom of the division once since 1990, so they’ll have plenty of work to do to keep that streak going next season.
