Unless they stage a comeback unlike any seen in the history of the NBA, it doesn’t look like the Golden State Warriors will be returning to the NBA Finals.
The team is sixth in a very competitive Western Conference and is still losing in tight, painful ways – like their recent defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.
NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins blasted the team’s chemistry while appearing on ESPN Monday.
“I just don’t see the togetherness there no more,” Perkins said, noting that he is instead witnessing a team with many powerful individuals who aren’t playing as one unit.
“I just don’t see the togetherness there no more… it’s just not there. Their time, their championship days are over… I look at a lot of individuals that are not bought into team anymore, just individual success.”

Perkins called out Draymond Green specifically as an example of the team not bonding well and working like a brotherhood.
We have heard complaints like this against the Warriors all season long.
In fact, they got started before the season even began.
When footage of Green punching Jordan Poole during a practice game was leaked online, numerous people wondered if the Warriors could really perform as a team after that.
Was that the beginning of the end for Golden State?
Perkins thinks so and said that “their championship days are over.”
Numerous stars are doing great things such as Stephen Curry, Poole, Green, Kevon Looney, Klay Thompson, and others.
Yet, they don’t look and feel as competitive as they were last season and the years before.
However, it is important to remember that many people were saying similar things about the Warriors last year and they eventually went on to win the NBA Finals.
Actually, Perkins admits he was one of their biggest detractors in 2021-22.
But he says he is much more confident about his prediction this year.
