At one point in time, Ben Gordon was considered to be one of the best sixth men in the NBA, with the ability to be a pure scorer off the bench.

At 40 and a few years removed from his last stint in the NBA, things are much different for Gordon as he’s struggled in his post-playing career.

This week, Gordon got in trouble off the floor once again, with the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year getting arrested after some erratic behavior at a juice shop in Connecticut, according to NBC New York via NBA Central.

According to ESPN, Gordon was arrested last October for a fight that got physical with his son and followed that up with another altercation the following month in a McDonalds.

In October, Gordon was charged with punching his son at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

In November, he was charged with a misdemeanor in Chicago for allegedly punching a McDonald’s security guard.

Obviously, Gordon is struggling and continues to lash out violently in public places as a result of whatever is going on in his life.

The former NBA star needs help, as he’s likely dealing with mental health issues and has become a danger to himself and those around him.

One can only hope that Gordon seeks help or has someone close to him help get him back on the right track because this is becoming a very sad story that is showing all the signs of ending badly.
