The Utah Jazz were not expected to be good this season.

Even though they just barely missed the playoffs, the Jazz played an exciting brand of basketball.

One of the most exciting payers to watch this year was forward Lauri Markkanen.

He made the All-Star team for the first time in his career, and he had plenty of highlight plays.

The Jazz have increased in popularity and value over the past two seasons.

One reason for that is that Dwyane Wade took over as a part owner.

According to Boardroom, the Jazz’s value has increased by 28.5% over the past two years.

On this day in 2021, Dwyane Wade bought an ownership stake in the Utah Jazz.

He said, “If people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can’t hear them anymore! Second act activated.”

Wade is a very good businessman and this is another example of it.

If the Jazz can continue to get better year after year, their value will only increase.

Markkanen seems to be a player they can build around, but the Jazz are still a few impact players away from being a threat.

Wade may have some pull in bringing some players to Utah, as many of the younger players in the NBA look up to him.

It is also a benefit that the Jazz are the only professional team in Utah.

Everyone in Utah wants to see the Jazz play, and they can draw a ton of fans to their games.

It will be interesting to see how valuable Wade can make this franchise.

But so far he is off to a very good start.
