The NFL Draft is set to begin on April 27, and teams are making the final adjustments to their draft boards.

One player that should not have to wait long to hear his name called is Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.

He is seen by many as the top quarterback in this draft class and a long-term starter in the NFL.

The only knock against taking Young first is that he is small for an NFL quarterback.

But, that should not scare off the Carolina Panthers from taking him first overall.

Young has been living with high expectations his whole life.

That will be no different once he gets into the NFL.

But, he thinks he is ready for the challenge.

According to NFL Total Access, Young is ready to prove why he should be the first player taken.

Young has everything you look for in a star quarterback, except size.

He stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 204 pounds, so it is fair to wonder if he can withstand the punishment of a 17-game season.

That is why if he is the pick for the Panthers, they must continue to invest in their offensive line.

Keeping Young upright and not allowing him to take too many hits should be focal points for the Panthers.

There is always pressure for the player selected first overall.

But, Young has all the ability to live up to the hype.

He just needs to stay on the field.
